Bionix Development Corporation Receives Innovative Technology Contract

innovative technology designated product

TOLEDO, OH, 2/1/2019 – Bionix Development Corporation announced its Bionix Lighted Technology ENT Products has received an Innovative Technology contract from Vizient, Inc. the largest member-driven health care performance improvement company in the country. The contract was based on a recommendation of Bionix Lighted Technology ENT Products by hospital experts in this category who serve on one of Vizient’s member-led councils.

Bionix Development Corporation offers an entire Lighted Technology ENT Product Line which combines illumination and magnification to help healthcare providers take less time to see and safely remove ear canal and nasal passage obstructions. Illumination and magnification improve procedural accuracy, avoiding the risk of injury from blind curettage with stainless steel curettes. The Bionix Lighted Technology ENT Products include the Lighted Ear Curette™, Lighted Articulating Ear Curette™, Lighted Forceps for Foreign Body Removal, Lighted Suction Handle, and Lighted Placement Tool.

We at Bionix are excited to earn an Innovative Technology contract from Vizient, Inc. Our market leading, complete line of Lighted Technology ENT Products will assist Vizient member physicians and clinicians in providing excellent patient care.

“After a review of the Lighted Technology ENT Products, Vizient’s member council agreed the technology offers a unique benefit over other products available in the market today and recommended it for an innovative technology contract. We are pleased to award this new contract to BIONIX,” Debbie Archer, director of procurement and leader of the Vizient Innovative Technology program for suppliers.

Vizient represents a diverse membership base that includes academic medical centers, pediatric facilities, community hospitals, integrated health delivery networks, and non-acute health care providers and represents approximately $100 billion in annual purchasing volume. Through its Innovative Technology Program, Vizient works with member-led councils and task forces to review potentially innovative products. If it is determined that a product is innovative, Vizient may award a contract outside of the competitive bid cycle.
